I wrote this in third grade. The teacher sent this photo to my parents and told them they had an activist on their hands. My parents nonchalantly posted it on their social media and this photograph went viral on Twitter the next day.  My parents claim to be annoyed but I can sense the pride in their voice when they relate the story, years later.

Honestly, I didn't think I was saying or doing anything monumental at that moment, but working for social change and using my words and my voice to bring about positive action is something I stand for.

Any 'Activism' is only as good as the length of time that it lasts and I hope that the campaigns I have created, carry on long after me. Individual campaigns do not last. I have always lent a hand of support to campaigns started by my friends because as The Beatles said  "Gonna try with a little help from my friends".

Collaboration paves the path to sustainable change.
