Performing Arts
I have been learning the Lucknow Gharana style of Kathak for the last twelve years and earned the Sangeet Prabhakar Degree. I have learnt the piano for six years and have earned my 5th level degree with merit, in performance from The University of West London (LCM). I have taught myself how to play the guitar as well. I enjoy both classical and contemporary pieces and have used my music to effect change by raising funds for educational causes. I have had several performances in and outside school.
I also participate in theatrical productions at school as I enjoy stepping into the shoes of another character. It gives me a different perspective which helps me challenge my own. I am committed to using performing arts as a bridge to unite people, and raise awareness about social justice causes. Above all else, the performing arts, be it music or dance are my sanctuary and my place of tranquility.
